More about Zentangle: The Method & Free Classes

  • The Zentangle Method® is a mindful technique of using repetitive patterns to create beautiful images. The work is usually done on small (3.5”x3.5”) paper “tiles” and can be completed in as little as 15 or 20 minutes. Though tangles are created with only 5 basic pen strokes (i C S 0), most patterns only use 2 or 3. The tools are simple and portable; they and can fit in a  pocket and you can do it most anywhere.
  • Students exploring the Zentangle art form discover an antidote to stress, an increased ability to focus, and the artist within them. Since tanglers don’t have a preconceived idea of the final results they are freed of expectations which lead to interesting abstract creations. Creativity happens in the process and no one ever creates what someone else has created; it is personal and the possibilities are limitless.
